A Digital Life in 2020

It seems that a global pandemic has forced people across the world to shift their lives to online even more than where we were prior to this mass confusion of times. Because people are now constantly stuck on their screens whether it’s through a phone or a computer, it is still a device that holds virtual platforms for one to use when accomplishing work or enjoying leisurely free time. How the user chooses to operate this mechanical tool is up to the individual, but since the transition to everything being more virtual than ever before, this all takes place on a rectangular screen and it is very different from living in the real world by going outside. The experience of living virtually in comparison to the real is a new strange feeling. At times, this unusual set of circumstances starts to make the user question their sanity not just because of self-isolation but also with the mix of news in current events that happens around the user outside of this technological boundary.
In this project, the series of work is composed of multiple screenshots layered together. The pandemic has caused everyone to move into a more "digital life" and because of it, the laptop screen is not just my new canvas but also my window to the outside world.
